Riccarton Trackwork Update
Riccarton Park track work update - Tuesday 16 October -

Rain from Friday and again a small amount on Sunday was enough to keep the plough closed for the morning's session at Riccarton Park where the small trial grass was open on which fast times were recorded on Good3 going.

WS Cox Plate aspirant Savvy Coup (Moore) had her final hitout 24 hours before travelling to Australia when sent out solo from the 1200m. She was well within herself when timed from the 1000m in 1.01.2, the final 600m in 600m in 35.5. Savvy Coup pulled up very well from the gallop and is in magnificent condition.

The Hughes trained pair of Canterbury Belle Stakes winner Emily Margaret (K Mudoo) and Hot Fuss (F Robertson) together were sprinted from the 800m in an impressive 46.5 with the final 600m in 34.7. Equally as impressive was the Pitman pair of Enzo's Lad (Moore) and Mr Typhon (Morris) who went together from the 1000m but were timed only from the 600m which took 35.0, getting over the final 400m in a slick 22.5.

The Te Akau pair of Unfazed (Laking) and Publicist (Kararuddin - below) looked advanced in fitness when together they galloped 1000m in 1.00.0 with the final 600m coming in 35.3. Both are nominations for Ashburton on Saturday. Last start winner Imelda's Girl (Bebey) has held her fitness going on her solo effort from the 1000m in 59.7 with the final 600m in 35.3.

Montoya Star (Morris) impressed from the 800m in 47.5, the last 600m in 35.2.

Saber (Morris) and Carson's River (Moore) were also together from the 800m which took 47.8, the last 600m in 34.5.
