Riccarton Trackwork Update
Riccarton Park track work - Thursday 18 October -

Conditions were dry but cool with a light southerly blowing for Thursday's session at Riccarton Park where the both the plough and the small trial grass were open for fast work. Markers were positioned for the inside lane on the grass which provided a firm surface that produced fast times.

On the plough, the best of the morning came from the Neill Ridley trained Bully Boy (Kwo) which galloped with ex-Hong Kong galloper Red Rose Warrior (Bennet) from 1000m where the pair were not at full pace recording 1.09.3 but warmed into their work and from the 600m and went strongly to the line in 35.3 despite the head wind. Bully Boy will be going for four wins from his last five starts when he contests the R82 2100m at Ashburton on Saturday.

Another Ridley trained pair in Vendima (Bennet) and Dreamtesta (Kwo) also impressed when going 50.1 from the 800m but getting to the line strongly together over the final 400m in 23.7.
