Te Akau track work Saturday September 6
Course proper (slow)
Gunsmoke (Miller) and Imperial Miss (Stack) worked over 1000 metres in 1:07.5, last 600m in 38.5. Both are preparing for the Benchmark 85 1400 metres next Saturday, Sept. 14, at Ruakaka.
Thrive (Miller) worked from the mile marker at three-quarter on the sand track, ahead of the Merial Metric Mile (Gr. 3, 1600m) next Saturday at Awapuni.
800 metres three-quarter pace on the sand track:
Abidewithme (Demir) and Urban Angel (Stack), Chambord (Miller) and Longbeach (Stack), Hardcore Rock (Miller) and Sir Darci (Donnelly), and working in a string: Aspen (Miller), Exabelle (Demir), King Savinsky (Stack) and Viana (Demir). Stanica Star (Stack) worked solo. Milan Miss (Donnelly) and 3 g Duke of Marmalade - Frescante (Stack), Dark Damsel (Ellis) and Riverenza (Stack), Stylee (Miller) and 3 g King's Chapel - Effortlessly (Stack). Persia (Miller) worked solo. Highly Likely (Miller) and Maestro (Stack) worked over 600 metres.
