Super Sensation

Eclair Sensation became Te Akau Singapore trainer Mark Walker's latest winner at Kranji on Friday night.

With nine months of the season completed, Mark has had an outstanding year having led the Trainers' Premiership all season until four weeks ago.

It was the formidable combination of Mark and champion Singapore jockey Joao Moreira that saw the 4YO score a narrow but determined win.  It was the Street Sense gelding's second career win from 12 starts (with three other placings) and took his prize money to $54,371 for local owner Li Chu Kwan.

Moreira settled Eclair Sensation in eighth position and a patient ride saw him improve to fifth and then go on to score nicely.

Eclair Sensation became Mark's 53rd winner of the season, only four wins shy of the Premiership leader Laurie Laxon.  As for Joao Moreira, the freakishly brilliant jockey finished Friday's racing with 166 wins to his credit for the season to lead the Jockeys' Premiership by a whopping 79 wins.
