She's Arrived - Only 50% Available
Yes our gorgeous new Darci Brahma filly that we mentioned last week has arrived at Te Akau Stud and passed our rigorous veterinary check with flying colours!

When we first mentioned her last week, 50% in her was snapped up - so there are only FIVE 10% shares available - yes we will also make 5% shares avaialable for you.

It is time now to "unveil" her and tell you all about her - she was just sensational buying and as you will see from our vet Dr Douglas Black's comments - she is a gorgeous filly and actually, an absolute sweetheart!

This is what Dr Black says:

“She's a beauty Karyn - gorgeous filly, don't know how you picked her up so cheaply - she's a cracking sort.  You can tell her new owners that I said ‘she ticks all the boxes for me - she is correct, a real athlete and has a brilliant temperament'.”

Now that we have confirmed her purchase I can tell you more about her - she is of course by Darci Brahma as you already know.  She is out of Snowdonia, the dam of four foals to race with three being winners including Don Louis, our filly's half-brother by Encosta de Lago.  He has recorded 10 wins including the Listed Macau Autumn Trophy and has four other stakes' placings to his credit.  Our filly's other half-brother by Giant Causeway - Celtic Fantasy - has won four so far and was third in the Group 2 Avondale Guineas.

It is a family with plenty of upside and if she can race well for us (yes Karyn is buying a share too) she has great residual value.

Other stand-out, close relatives include international Group winners Royal Millenium (winner of six, including three Group 3 UK events and runner up in the prestigious Group 1 Longchamp Prix de la Floret), Croco Rouge (who won twice at Group 1 level in France before going to stand at stud), Taipan (who won four Group 1 races in Italy (2) and Germany (2) before going to stud), All-Royal (a Group 1 Goodwood winner who also retired to stud) and the very good producer Sleepytime who won the Group 1 1000 Guineas in the UK.

She's from a super family - and just out of interest Snowdonia is now positive in foal to Tavistock so there well could be more to come from this family.

Darci Snowdonia
