Singapore Update

The intrepid team of Te Akau travellers has arrived safe and sound in Sngapore.  Sixteen of us travelled together as part of the team is already in Singapore or joining us from another location - the ten and a half hour flight seemed to go very quickly.

For those arriving at Singapore's Changi airport for the first time - it was of course a breathtaking experience.  Changi is one of the largest and most beautiful of the world's airports.  Quickly through customs and immigation, we were met by Christina who was also our guide last year.  She is hilarious and gave us her very humorous commentary all the way into the city.

We are staying at the Ritz Carlton which has gorgeous views over the entire city.  Checked in, most of our gathered for a night-cap drink and discussed the days ahead.  David together with Matt Cameron and his partner Blair joined us - great to see them.  Matt had ridden trackwork yesterday morning and is very excited about riding at Kranji tonight.

Today everyone has free time and people are heading off to all parts of the city - we will meet up at 4.50pm this afternoon to travel to Kranji where the racing action begins.  Mark has a large team racing tonight and you can be certain we will make our support known!  You can always follow our action tonight on twitter - @TeAkauRacing.
