There is no question that one of the highlights of David's travels has been his dinner in France with Coolmore Stud's owner John Magnier (main picture on left) and also David and Diane Nagle (David pictured with David below), the breeders' of Yeats and of the colt that David purchased at the Deauville Sale.  Messrs Magnier and Nagle have many joint breeding success stories to their credit.

Barronstown Stud is one of the leading commercial thoroughbred breeders worldwide. The stud was established in 1980 by David & Diane Nagle and comprises 500 acres of prime horse rearing land in the heartland of the Irish thoroughbred racing and breeding industry on the border of counties Wicklow and Kildare. The stud has yielded the winners of 34 Group 1 races in 9 countries across 3 continents including Horatio Nelson, Generous, Imagine, Fine Motion, Oratorio and of course Yeats.
