Stunning Strike Rate

Te Akau NZ trainer Jason Bridgman and our Matamata team have certainly started the season in scintillating fashion!

At Te Rapa on Wednesday, Te Akau claimed the first two races on the programme with Vive La Difference and Rockfast impressing all - both have an eye firmly fixed on Christchurch for Cup Week should all go well.

Then on Thursday at Taranaki it was a 100% strike rate with Te Akau's sole runner Sir Darci winning easily - our third winner in 24 hours and all ridden by stable rider Matt Cameron.

All three winners were also purchased by David Ellis from Karaka - Vive La Difference for $67,500, Rockfast for $410,000 and Sir Darci for $140,000.

Jason now lies third on the Trainers' Premiership with eight wins,  three seconds and two thirds and stakes' earnings of $75,150. All this from only 27 starters - meaning he has an amazing strike rate of 3.38!!
