A Group I winner of the MRC Oakleigh Plate, former brilliant sprinter Swiss Ace retired to Westbury Stud in New Zealand and posted his first Australian winner at Kyneton on Wednesday when House of Hingis showed her rivals a clean pair of heels.
The Peter Moody trained filly was unplaced when making her debut last spring in the Group III VRC Channel Seven News Stakes won by Oakleigh Girl but showed the benefit of a break and drop in grade when scoring a very easy victory.
She travelled sweetly for Luke Nolen just off the pace and dashed right away down the running to win the 1100 metre maiden by three and three-quarter lengths.
"She's always shown us nice ability at home but when she came off the bridle she was still a bit new to it,†said Nolen.
"She will learn a lot from this and really benefit from today.â€
A $65,000 Magic Millions purchase from the draft of Baramul Stud, House of Hingis is the first winner for Tempo Manor, a metropolitan winning half-sister by General Nediym to Group III winner Ready to Rip.
House of Hingis is the second winner for Swiss Ace, who has already had a winner in New Zealand in Staccato.
