Te Akau Avoca Sunday Preview

Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Sunday 29 March at Avoca (Victoria).

Avoca:

Weather: fine, track: Soft5, rail: true. No rain forecast.

4.30 p.m. (NZ) - 2:30 p.m. (Vic) R3 8 Future Frankie (3 f Frankel – Mirai E) – Lachlan King; she remained back when resuming in the Maiden 1500 metres on 10 March at Ballarat, and contests the A$32,000 Maiden 1860 metres. She produced a strong finish for third on debut over 1600 metres, tried hard in the Group 3 Ethereal Stakes (2000m) during three starts in her first campaign, and seeks improvement through stepping up in distance.

5:05 p.m. (NZ) - 3:05 p.m. (Vic) R4 2 Noble Steed (5 g Zed – Test Of Honour) – Will Gordon; he finished fourth in a recent hurdle trial and is having his first start for the stable in the A$32,000 Benchmark 56 1860 metres. Preparing for a jumps’ campaign, he displayed plenty of tenacity when winning over 2000 metres in November at Wangaratta (Victoria), and the team is looking for a positive beginning to his first outing for the stable.
