24 March, 2015
Te Akau New Zealand has two horses entered for the eight race programme on Wednesday 25 March at Avondale.
As on Tuesday 24 March the conditions were: overcast and Dead6, rail out 7 metres.
2.03 p.m. R2 9 Princess Davone (2 f Iffraaj - Nikey Davone) - Matt Cameron; makes her debut from barrier one in the Maiden 2YO 1200 metres. She indicated an ability to utilize the draw when beginning smartly before winning her first trial on February 24 at Matamata. While certainly more of a three-year-old type, her professional approach at the trials warrants race day experience at two. Given the pedigree and family exploits the best of her could be seen over a mile and more as she matures.
2.38 p.m. R3 3 Imperium (3 g Encosta De Lago - Ethereal) - Troy Harris; resumes off 87-days in the Maiden High-weight 1600 metres, having got home nicely for third in a 1230-metre trial a fortnight ago at Rotorua. He took many lengths off the leaders when storming home for third here on debut, last October, in the Maiden 1400 metres and should prove tough to beat in this field.
