Te Akau Avondale Preview
13 August, 2015
Te Akau New Zealand has five horses entered for the seven race programme on Friday 14 August at Avondale.
As on Thursday 13 August the conditions were: fine and Heavy10, rail out 10 metres.
1.40 p.m. R3 11 Coincidence (3 g Savabeel - Read My Lips) - Cameron Lammas; makes his debut from barrier two in the Maiden 1200 metres. The family has an outstanding record on debut and he gets his opportunity to enhance it if appreciative of the going. He is on the right, main picture, at the track today. Also below on the left.
2.15 p.m. R4 12 Niamh Elizabeth (3 f Per Incanto - Trove) - Cameron Lammas; starts from the outside barrier of twelve, on debut in the Maiden 1200 metres. Her half-sister, Thrive (Colombia), had a liking for heavy ground and won on debut. She is pictured on the left, main picture, at the track today. Also below on the right.

2.50 p.m. R5 5 Tatters (2 f Tavistock - Rattle) - Cameron Lammas; resumes off 98 days in the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres. She came from well back to finish third here on Slow9 before being spelled, and will be strongly supported on the tote in this field - one of two in the race for Te Akau.
2.50 p.m. R5 11 Christine Louise (3 f O'Reilly - Happily Ever After) - Michael Coleman; has drawn handily on debut. She hails from a family with speed. Whether or not she can act on heavy ground will be determined, but she seems genuine. Here she is hitting out this morning.

4.00 p.m. R7 1 Skyscraper (4 g Manhattan Rain - Grand Performance) - Cameron Lammas; is a staying type resuming off 121 days in the Maiden 1400 metres. Likely to get back from a wide draw, running home strongly will be encouraging signs.
