Te Akau Avondale Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has two horses entered for the seven race twilight programme on Wednesday 2 December at Avondale. 

As on Tuesday 1 December the conditions were: cloudy and Dead4; rail out 10 metres.

4.42 p.m. R4 12 Vinevale (3 f Flying Spur - Eden Valley) - Matt Cameron; missed the cut in the NZB Pearl Series 1200-metre race last Wednesday at Te Aroha, won by Ruud Not Too (Bernardini) who won the trial when Vinevale finished second recently at Cambridge. The trial form looks very good now and she appears a leading chance in the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres, from barrier eight, on debut.

5.17 p.m. R5 14 Herschal (3 g Savabeel - Starring) - Michael McNab; has improved since a solid trial at Te Aroha, and makes his debut from barrier five in the Maiden 1100 metres. Cinematic (Dane Shadow), with a second here on debut as a two-year-old to Windborne (Darci Brahma) in the Murdoch Newell Stakes (Listed, 1100m) appears a ready-made favourite.
