Te Akau Avondale Preview
Te Akau New Zealand has three horses racing on Wednesday 2 November at Avondale.
As on race morning the conditions were: cloudy and Dead4, rail out 6 metres. 8mls rain forecast race day.

2.48 p.m. R3 14 Primrose (3 f Saperavi - Primo Quest) - Matt Cameron; had the experience of two starts as a two-year-old, both at Riccarton, and resumes off 179 days in the Maiden 3YO Fillies 1200 metres. A trial winner here previously on Dead4, she remained right in the action for a close second when trialling here September 20 and has the natural ability to utilize barrier two.

3.23 p.m. R4 5 Echezeaux (5 m Encosta De Lago - Grand Echezeaux) - Matt Cameron; ended the previous campaign winning two of her last four starts, and two preparatory trials should have fitted her nicely to resume off 186 days in the Rating 70 1600 metres. Ideally drawn in barrier four, a bold performance would not surprise in this field.

4.33 p.m. R6 9 Beaumarchais (3 g Savabeel - Almaviva) - Matt Cameron; did a fair bit of work early when finishing a close third in the Maiden 3YO 1400 metres at Ruakaka. A race in which second placed stable-mate Tiffany's Time (Alamosa) followed up with a win here last Wednesday. Both race day efforts have contained plenty of merit and he appears a solid each way chance from barrier one in the Maiden 1400 metres.
