Te Akau Avondale Preview
30 April, 2014
Te Akau New Zealand has two horses entered for the ten-race programme on Wednesday April 30 at Avondale.
As on Wednesday April 30 the conditions were: overcast and Dead6, rail out 8 metres.
3:10pm R7 7 Show No Emotion (4 m Pins - Lynisky) - Matt Cameron; was a fresh-up winner over 1400 metres in her last campaign and with the benefit of a trial she contests the Benchmark 65 1400 metres from barrier nine, off a 110-day break. She possesses a good turn of foot for a mare of massive proportions and certainly has what it takes to make her presence felt in this field.
4:15pm R9 4 Cold Snap (5 m Pins - Forty Two Below) - Matt Cameron; returns to her rightful grade in the Benchmark 75 1400 metres, after a solid effort for fourth on April 2 in the Benchmark 85 1400 metres at Matamata. Narrowly beaten here on rain-affected footing in May last year, she should appreciate the ground as it stands and from barrier two can track the right path to prove competitive.
