Te Akau Avondale Preview
Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Wednesday 23 May at Avondale.
As on Tuesday 22 May the conditions were: fine and Heavy10, rail out 6 metres. 5mls rain forecast race day.

2.54 p.m. R7 7 Tiffany's Time (4 m Alamosa - Tinsel Time) - Nik Bakar (a4); resumed with a very good second to smart winter galloper King Cougar (Alamosa) in the Rating 75 1200 metres on Anzac Day at Awapuni. She scored her Maiden win here over 1400 metres on dead ground, was a winner on slow last spring at Riccarton, and certainly looks a player if appreciative of heavy going in the $11,000 Rating 70 1400 metres. Claiming 4kgs to carry 53kgs, she provides the Te Akau apprentice with his first race day ride.

3.29 p.m. R8 2 Bojangles (4 g Roc de Cambes - Stever House) - Opie Bosson; won with plenty of merit on Anzac Day in the Rating 65 1400 metres at Awapuni, clocking the fastest last 600m of the day (35.7) on Slow8 footing. A debut Maiden winner here on Heavy10, over 1300 metres, he remains in the same grade for the $10,000 Rating 65 1600 metres, with a 2kg weight penalty to carry 59.5kgs, and brings the right form to rate an each way chance.
