Te Akau Awapuni Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has two horses entered for the eight race programme on Friday 10 April at Awapuni.

As on Thursday 9 April the conditions were: overcast and Slow7, rail true.

2.12 p.m. R3 13 Seline (4 m Pentire - Dion) - Matt Cameron; has been freshened since a solid performance for fourth in the Maiden 2000 metres on March 11 at Matamata, and drops back to a mile from barrier three. She has acted well on dead ground, finished third over 2000m at her only start on slow (Slow9) and a handy draw early in the day should not pose too many problems.

3.22 p.m. R5 7 Madame Jamai (3 f Minstrel Court - Palais Jamai) - Matt Cameron; finished third in a recent 950-metre trial at Cambridge, and resumes off 103-days in the Rating 65 1200 metres. Likely to position in or near the lead, she faces a few opponents that have contested stronger races last start. Although a winner over 1200m on good footing she also boasts solid form with cut in the track and while further improvement will be derived from the outing her genuine attributes should see her in the fight for a good way.
