Te Akau Awapuni Preview - RACES POSTPONED

Te Akau New Zealand has one horse racing on Saturday 6 January at Awapuni.
As on Friday 5 January the conditions were: fine and Dead6, rail out 3 metres 800m - 400m and remainder out 4 metres. 17mls rain forecast Friday, 1ml race day.
2.35 p.m. R4 8 Tavis Star (6 m Tavistock - Megapins) - Tegan Newman (a3); resumed off 118 days in the Rating 70 1400 metres on 15 December at Tauranga, with a strong finishing rails run for second. Drawn barrier five in the $25,000 Rating 75 1400 metres, Newman retaining the ride and claiming to 52kgs, easing in the ground should work in her favour.
