2:12 p.m. R4 1 Colonel Warden (3 g Russian Revolution – Moralto) – Ace Lawson-Carroll (a1); he drifted on inner, met check, and finished back on Heavy10 in the Rating 65 1215 metres on 10 May at Rotorua. Back in grade for the $17,000 Rating 60 1400 metres, won Maiden on Good4, and rates a top three chance if appreciative of surface at first attempt. Fixed odds: $2.35 & $1.20.
2:51 p.m. R5 8 Shiatsu (3 f Swiss Ace – Perform A Miracle) – Bruno Queiroz; she recorded very good all-the-way victory when debuting in the Maiden 1300 metres on 21 May at Cambridge (poly-track), and steps up in the $17,000 Rating 75 1400 metres. Solid through trials stage prior to racing, carries minimum weight (54kg), and although out of rightful grade she won with enough authority to prove competitive. Fixed odds: $3.50 & $1.50.
3:57 p.m. R7 7 Puzzle Master (3 g Rubick – One Mansini) – Leah Hemi; he was unable to handle very testing Heavy10 footing in the Rating 65 1215 metres on 10 May at Rotorua, and contests the $17,000 Rating 77 1200 metres. Second and first, respectively, in two starts on poly-track, and receives chance to improve second-up. Fixed odds: $11.00 & $3.10.
