Te Akau Awards 2020 - Winners Wrap Up Video NZTR Horse Of The Year

It was a night to remember at the Te Akau Racing Season Celebration.

With the NZTR Awards' Ceremony physically cancelled, and the winners being announced via a virtual broadcast - Te Akau decided to host its own season celebration, and also take in the live broadcast of the awards' announcement as they happened.

What a huge success the event was too! We hope you enjoy our highlight video from our awards evening.

It was a proud evening for the team with Te Akau Racing having a connection to 10 of the 19 titles at the 2020 New Zealand Thoroughbred Horse of the Year Awards. 

We celebrated our award winners:

Trainers Premiership and Trainer of the Year - Jamie Richards

Champion Two-Year-Old - Cool Aza Beel

Champion Sprinter/Miler, Champion Middle Distance and Horse of the Year - Melody Belle

Jockey of the Year - Opie Bosson

NZTR Award for Contribution to Media, Digital, and Content - Julia-Rose Hayes representing Te Akau Racing
