Te Akau Bairnsdale Monday Preview

Te Akau Racing has one horse entered on Monday 21 at Bairnsdale (Victoria).

Weather: fine, track: Soft6, rail: true. No rain forecast. 

5.30 p.m. (NZ time) R8 1 West Indies (3 g Fastnet Rock – Anchovy, by Galileo) – Craig Newitt; he received a lovely trip and raced well for second in the A$27,000 Benchmark 58 2200 metres on 23 June at Pakenham (poly-track), also with Newitt aboard. Contesting the corresponding event, he had  really been devoid of luck before his last start performance, so we will be looking for the form reversal to continue.  He does however carry the top weight (62kg) but still rates a top three chance from the handy barrier three.
