7.00 p.m. (NZ) ~ 5.00 p.m. (Vic) R8 6 Gruzamba (3 g Grunt – Wazamba) – Ethan Brown; he ran home strongly down the outside to finish second in a trial on 24 February at Cranbourne, also ridden by Brown, and resumes in the A$27,000 Benchmark 64 1100 metres. He justified favouritism with an impressive debut victory in October, again with Brown aboard, and spelled following a good effort for sixth in his subsequent start down the straight at Flemington. He rates a top four chance if he can secure luck in the running from his wide draw (12). NZ TAB fixed odds: $2.20 & $1.25.
