Te Akau Cambridge at Te Rapa Preview
Te Akau New Zealand has four horses racing at the re-scheduled Cambridge Jockey Club meeting on Sunday 27 November at Te Rapa.

As on Saturday 26 November the conditions were: fine and Dead4, rail out 6 metres. 2.5mls rain forecast 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. race day.

12.25 p.m. R1 5 Gold Fever (2 f Savabeel - Gold Rocks) - Cameron Lammas; makes her debut in the Maiden 2YO 1000 metres, having worked through the line solidly in each of her two trials, over 630m and 800m, both on slow footing. A sister to February this year's Matamata Breeders' Stakes (Gr. 2, 1200m) winner Gold Rush, she looks a natural two-year-old and should give a good account with a bit of luck from the outside draw in a field of seven.

1.35 p.m. R3 13 Lady Amadeus (3 f Medaglia D'oro - Rialto Bridge) - Cameron Lammas; has been given two trials this time in, finishing second in the most recent over 1000 metres on Slow9 at Te Aroha, and makes her debut in the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres. A half-sister to in-form staying horse Joe Cargo (Authorized), she appears capable of taking up a handy position from barrier six.

2.44 p.m. R5 10 Madam Monica (3 f Mastercraftsman - Lynisky) - Cameron Lammas; returned great place odds ($8.10) when getting home strongly for second, after being checked on straightening, to stable-mate Tiffany's Time (Alamosa) in the Maiden 3YO 1400 metres on 26 October at Avondale, and was late scratched when footing downgraded at the last meeting there. Previously she had resumed with a solid sixth in the Maiden 3YO 1400 metres at Ruakaka, and with luck in running from a wide draw she has the credentials to rate an each way chance in the Maiden 3YO 1600 metres.

3.54 p.m. R7 16 Cabaret (4 m Showcasing - Something Majic) - Jasmine Fawcett (a4); freshened since last racing, she has the benefit of weight relief to carry 50kgs in the Rating 65 1200 metres but requires luck in running from a wide draw. A Maiden winner over 1200 metres on heavy going, her performance on good ground will determine the next step.
