12:00 p.m. R2 7 Brazen Affair (3 f Brazen Beau – Southern Romance) – Craig Grylls; she was desperately unlucky when finishing second when resuming in the Rating 68 970 metres here (poly-track) on 21 May, clocking fastest last 600m (33.1) on the day. Contesting the $17,000 Rating 72 970 metres, she has drawn the ace, and rates a top three chance. Fixed odds: $2.25 & $1.20. 

1:07 p.m. R4 10 Hayate (6 m Maurice – Vamoose) – Craig Grylls; she lost a handy position inside 600m before finishing strongly for second in the Rating 65 2000 metres here (poly-track) on 21 May, and has since won a trial over hurdles. Contesting the $17,000 Rating 69 2000 metres, she was a course/distance winner in May last year, has recorded two wins on the course, and she too looks a top three chance from barrier five. Fixed odds: $4.40 & $1.80.
