Te Akau Cambridge Midweek Preview

Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Thursday 10 July at Cambridge (poly-track)

Cambridge:

Weather: fine, track: poly-track, rail: true.

12:05 p.m. R2 2 Knowledge Is Power (3 g Written Tycoon – Hectopascal) – Ace Lawson-Carroll (a1); he ran the fastest last 600m (33.4) when closing strongly for fourth in the Rating 73 1000 metres on 22 June at Awapuni (poly-track), and contests the $17,000 Rating 76 970 metres. He is ideally drawn (5) to have first four claims at the business end. Fixed odds: $3.70 & $1.45.

3:35 p.m. R8 6 Colonel Warden (3 g Russian Revolution – Moralto) – Ace Lawson-Carroll (a1); he won his first poly-track start when quickening clear in the Rating 60 1400 metres on 8 June at Awapuni, with Lawson-Carroll aboard on that occasion too (main picture). While he steps up in grade for the $17,000 Rating 92 1300 metres, he won in a manner last time to suggest he can be regarded as a top three chance from barrier one. Fixed odds: $4.80 & $1.70.
