Te Akau Cambridge Midweek Preview

Te Akau Racing has three horses entered on Wednesday 17 June at Cambridge (poly-track)

Cambridge:

Weather: cloudy, track: poly-track, rail: true.

12:00 p.m. R2 5 Colonel Warden (4 g Russian Revolution – Moralto) – Hayley Hassman (a2); he ran home solidly from back in the field for fifth in the Rating 80 1300 metres here on 3 June, also with Hayley in the saddle, and contests the $17,000 Rating 75 1300 metres. He has fashioned a good record on synthetic surfaces, including two wins, and is ideally drawn (4) to present as a top three chance. Fixed odds: $6.00 & $2.20.

1:08 p.m. R4 3 Brazen Affair (4 m Brazen Beau – Southern Romance) – George Rooke; she did herself no favours last start when being slowly away, before running the fastest last 600m (33.2) on the day for third in the Rating 72 970 metres here on 3 June, and contests the $17,000 Rating 74 970 metres. She ended her previous campaign with three wins and three seconds from six starts here on poly-track at Cambridge, and looks a top three prospect from barrier one. Fixed odds: $6.00 & $2.15.
