Te Akau Cambridge Midweek Preview

Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Wednesday 3 November at Cambridge (synthetic).

Weather: fine, track: poly-track, rail: true. 8mls rain forecast.

1.57 p.m. R2 1 Rip Van Gogh (4 g Rip Van Winkle - On the Move) - Opie Bosson; clocked the fastest last 600m (33.8) getting home for fifth in a $12,000 Maiden 1300 metres on 13 October at Cambridge (poly-track), and contests the corresponding event. He brings the form to rate a top three chance from barrier three.

2.34 p.m. R3 9 Invincibeel (3 f Savabeel - Matakana) - Michael McNab; made ground solidly and was good through line when trialling on 14 October at Taupo, and debuts from barrier three in another $12,000 Maiden 1300 metres. He is from a lightly raced mare that won over 1200 metres as a two-year-old and finished fourth in 1000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m). Her year older brother and stable-mate Tauparae was a course/distance winner in June, and she has trialled well here.
