Te Akau trialled horses on Tuesday May 10 at Cambridge. The footing was rated Dead5, rail true.
Heat 2 Open 935 metres (long neck, ¾ lengths 54.8)
Love Actually (3 f Swiss Ace - Just Platonic) - Hanafi Noorman; began well, handy inner, trail 600m, poked through along rail 150m, closing solidly for fifth, and through to lead past the post.

Heat 3 Open 935 metres (1 ¾ lengths, long head 54.3)
Astrid (4 m Pins - Astralita) - Jasmine Fawcett; drifted back inner, last 400m, across heels widest into straight and made good ground.

Heat 10 2YO 800 metres (½ a length, 6 lengths 46.9)
Sensitive Smile (2 f Murtajill - Forbetterforworse) - Cameron Lammas; camped fourth, into clear turn, solid finish for third.

Heat 15 2YO 935 metres (1 ½ lengths, 3 ½ lengths 55.6)
Pure Savalina (2 f Savabeel - Catalina) - Cameron Lammas; mid inner, in worst of ground, picked up nearest rail around home turn and fought on in the straight.

Abbey Kay (2 f Keeper - Abbey Tralae) - Matt Cameron; mid line of three on pace and she fought well just off the leading division.

Heat 16 2YO 935 metres (½ a length, 2 ¾ lengths 55.7)
Abloom (2 f Darci Brahma - Corsage) - Hanafi Noorman; began smartly, outside leader, keeping up a valiant gallop for second.

Heat 17 2YO 935 metres (short head, 2 ¾ lengths 55.4)
2 f Mastercraftsman - Lynisky - Cameron Lammas; tracked wide with cover off the outside gate, squeezed 400m, and finished amongst traffic.

Bobtail (2 f Alamosa - Cavendish Belle) - Michael McNab; began well, three wide on pace, ranged to challenge turn and she fought on solidly for fifth.

Heat 18 2YO 935 metres (nose, nose 55.2)
Elegant D'oro (2 f Medaglia D'oro - Elegant Fashion) - Cameron Lammas; sixth in running, tracked home a wall of horses in the straight.

Heat 19 2YO 935 metres (4 lengths, ¾ lengths 54.5)
2 g Echoes of Heaven - Replicate - Michael McNab; began smartly to lead and kept up a strong gallop for second.

Lady Masako (2 f Iffraaj - Lady Sakura) - Cameron Lammas; tardy off inside gate, back inner, improved fifth 600m and held her position on footing that made it difficult to improve.

Heat 20 Maiden 935 metres (1 ¾ lengths, short head 54.9)
3 f Alamosa - Popsy - Michael McNab; got back on the inner and found the sprint trip too sharp.

Heat 21 Maiden 935 metres (1 ¾ lengths, long head 55.0)
3 f Captain Rio - Capital Gold - Michael McNab; away on terms to co-lead on the inner and she fought solidly for sixth on quite testing ground.

Heat 23 Maiden 935 metres (4 lengths, 1 length 55.3)
Gardenier (3 f Rip Van Winkle - Miss Montjeu) - Matt Cameron; eased for cover off wide gate, seven lengths 600m, she was tightened turn which made it difficult to make ground thereafter over a sprint trip.

Heat 25 Maiden 935 metres (7 lengths, ½ a length 54.4)
Ebony Star (3 f Bachelor Duke - Keepa Cruisin) - Michael McNab; one off in seventh, six lengths 600m and unable to progress.

Heat 30 Open 1975 metres (3 lengths, 3 ½ lengths 2:06.4)
Maestro (5 g Encosta De Lago - Miss Scarlatti) - Jasmine Fawcett; began well to lead at a good tempo, collared on straightening but fought solidly to finish in midfield.
