Te Akau trialled horses at the Cambridge Trials (synthetic track) on Tuesday 19 July 2022

Weather: cloudy, track: poly-track, rail: true.

Heat 2 Open 1300 metres (1 ½ lengths, length 1:18.3)

Leaderboard (7 g Street Cry - Flower Fairy) - Rylee Sheehan; began well from barrier one to lead, trailed at the 1000m, was fourth on the inner at the 800m, and ran home strongly for third.

Heat 4 Open 950 metres (¾ lengths, nose 54.3)

Burgundy Rose (5 m Burgundy - Paraiba) - Sam Weatherley (above); began smartly to position outside the leader, quickened to lead at the 200m and proved too good in winning.

Prise De Fer (6 g Savabeel - Foiled) - Opie Bosson; was fifth on the inner, four lengths at the 600m, and was without clear room in straight but finished close up among the minors in fourth.

Image of You (4 m Pins - Exactly Like You) - Niranjan Parmar; settled back in the last three, was five lengths at the 600m and worked home strongly once clear in the straight to finish close up among the minors.

Lightning Field (5 g Deep Field - Claudine) - Joe Kamaruddin; settled last, seven lengths at bthe 600m, stayed near the rail and worked home strongly, without clear room in straight, to finish close up among the minors.

Supreme Khan (4 g Mongolian Khan - Angelica Hall) - Troy Harris; steadied back from the outside gate, was six lengths at the 600m, and worked home widest, unpressured, to finish close up among the minors.

Heat 5 Open 950 metres (length, ¾ lengths 53.8)

Imperatriz (3 f I Am Invincible - Berimbau) - Opie Bosson (below); got across nicely from the outside gate to situate fourth on the outer, cruised up rounding the home turn and the dual Group 1 winner was too classy in the run home.

Quattro Quinta (3 g Darci Brahma - Quintette) - Sam Weatherley; began nicely from barrier one to lead, travelled well, and kept up a solid gallop for second.

Synchronize (3 f Savabeel - Splits) - Joe Kamaruddin; had a soft trip fourth on the inner, was held up behind the leader and had more to offer finishing close third.

Markus Aurelius (5 g Ghibellines - Evancho) - Craig Grylls; showed leg from the gates to sit outside the leader and was nicely held together for close fourth.

Campionessa (4 m Contributer - Bella Carolina) - Niranjan Parmar; was fifth on the inner and four lengths astern at the 600m, holding her spot in the run home.

Amalfi Prince (3 g Sebring - Campania) - Troy Harris; steadied back from a wider gate, he was five lengths off at the 600m and held his spot without pressure.

Heat 6 Open 950 metres (¾ lengths, short neck 54.1)

On The Bubbles (3 g Brazen Beau - More Bubbles) - Troy Harris; began well to lead on a nice rein and was held together for second.

Aotea Lad (5 g Savabeel - Corsage) - Niranjan Parmar; began smartly from a wide gate, was fourth on the inner at the 600m and untroubled behind the leaders for a close third.

Invincibeel (3 f Savabeel - Matakana) - Craig Grylls; found a nice spot fourth outer, was clear entering straight and looked good finishing a close fourth.

The Mighty Spar (4 g Savabeel - O'Dianne) - Rylee Sheehan; began awkwardly from barrier one, was  back on the inner, six lengths at the 600m, and quickened home well near the rail.

Entriviere (4 m Tavistock - Marcey's Belt) - Opie Bosson; got back third last, five lengths off the leaders at the 600m, was clear wide when turning in and was held together in straight, not appreciative of the surface.

Rip Van Gogh (4 g Rip Van Winkle - On the Move) - Joe Kamaruddin; got back last after beginning awkwardly, was seven lengths off at the 600m, widest rounding the home turn and worked home fine.

Heat 7 Open 950 metres (2 ¼ lengths, ½ length 54.2)

Sophisticardo (3 g Burgundy - Glamorous Girl) - Niranjan Parmar; was a stride slow to begin, recovered to land fourth on the inner and was not extended near the rail for a strong second.

Irish Red (3 f Burgundy - Niamh Elizabeth) - Sam Weatherley; steadied back off her outside gate, was five lengths off the leaders at 5thye 600m, and closed nicely between runners to photo-finish for third.

Zouluminous (5 m Zoustar - Luminous Harmony) - Opie Bosson; began well to travel second and sustained aq good gallop to photo-finish for third.

Perfect Scenario (4 g Iffraaj - Rosetti Bay) - Troy Harris; steadied back second last off his wide gate, he was six lengths back at the 600m, improved widest at the turn and held his spot with good gallop.

Fierce Flight (3 g Flying Artie - First Bloom) - Jasmine Fawcett; found a nice spot fourth on the outer, was part of the rear group turning for home and held his spot through line.

Heat 8 2YO 950 metres (short neck, length 54.4)

Wild Night (2 g Vanbrugh - Supreme) - Troy Harris; began well to receive a handy trip and was held together with more to offer when closing for a very good second.

Royalz (2 f Almanzor - Lady Royale) - Sam Weatherley; was three back inner, steadied six lengths at the 600m, angled clear in the straight and closed well to finish among the minors in fourth.

Cognito (2 g So You Think - Lady Primrose) - Niranjan Parmar; got back, five lengths off at the 600m and ran home strongly down the outside for a close fifth.

Baronet (2 g Contributer - Alpha Dame) - Joe Kamaruddin; began well to trail on the inner, pushed up for fourth at the 500m, but was without room in the straight and finished close with more to offer.

2 g Vadamos - Mystery Show- Opie Bosson; dwelt at the start, he was allowed to stride around to co-lead at the 600m and held together between runners in straight.

Heat 9 2YO 950 metres (½ head, short neck 54.6)

Stonybreck (2 g Tavistock - Fair Isle) - Opie Bosson (above); began well to situate outside the leader, had the advantage at the 150m and sustained a strong gallop to win.

Accidental Tourist (2 g Telperion - Megara) - Troy Harris; tracked up behind the runners the from outside gate and remained on their heels in fourth.

Jibbity (2 f Savabeel - Alpine Julz) - Craig Grylls; was three wide on the pace and sustained a good run for a close fifth.

Heat 10 2YO 950 metres (short neck, nose 54.6)

Bubbles Await (2 g Almanzor - Champagne Katie) - Opie Bosson (above); utilized barrier one to co-lead on the bridle, took the advantage at the 200m and kept finding to win.

Lord Cosmos (2 g Pierro - Cosmic Powers) - Sam Weatherley; was fifth among runners at the 600m, clear entering the straight and ran home strongly for a close fourth.

Andraste (2 f Savabeel - Gallwitz) - Joe Kamaruddin; got back on the inner, was four lengths at the 600m, pushed up nearing the home turn and although slightly detached, was running home nicely.

Taifa (2 g Almanzor - Nucleonic) - Craig Grylls; got back, four lengths off at the 600m and finished off the leading division.

Heat 11 2YO 950 metres (2 ¾ lengths, short neck 54.1)

Tavernia (2 f Mongolian Khan - Chaparella) - Joe Kamaruddin (below); showed pace to lead early and bounded home near the rail to win easily.

Marvelouz (2 f Almanzor - Miraculous Miss) - Craig Grylls; steadied back from an outside gate, travelled three wide and was four lengths off at the 600m but sustained a big run for second.

Came Saw Conquered (2 g Churchill - Diamond Earth) - Troy Harris; steadied back on the inner, was five lengths back at the 600m, and ran home easily in a quiet outing.

Angles Wings (2 f Heroic Valour - Gowana) - Opie Bosson; trailed from barrier one, was awkward rounding the home turn and was held together in straight.

Heat 12 2YO 950 metres (length, short neck 54.4)

Caravella (2 f Caravaggio - Highland Lights) - Joe Kamaruddin; trailed from a handy draw, camped on lthe eaders turning in and quickened through a gap with a strong finish for second.

Varuni (2 f Darci Brahma - Inniskillen) - Sam Weatherley; got back from an outside gate, improved to fifth at the 600m, was wide rounding turn and worked home strongly for fourth.

Molly Shaw (2 f Burgundy - Belorussiya) - Opie Bosson; was squeezed back soon after the start, four lengths off at the 600m, she switched ground in the straight and ran home fine.

Apollonius (2 g Fastnet Rock - Ciarlet) - Troy Harris; began well to situate outside the leader, was given a reminder in straight and ran on near the rail.

Heat 13 Maiden 950 metres (length, length 54.6)

Illicit Miss (3 f Hinchinbrook - Unlawful) - Joe Kamaruddin; got back on the inner, four lengths off the leaders at the 600m, she improved off the rail nearing the home turn and was not far behind at the line.

Heat 14 Maiden 950 metres (2 ¼ lengths, 5 lengths 54.8)

3 g Turn Me Loose - Dresden Park - Troy Harris; began well to travel easily in second, sat outside the leader nearing the home turn and was held together in a good gallop for second.

Patriarca (3 f Savabeel - Baby Shacks) - Opie Bosson; was a distant third chasing a genuine pace, clicked up at the 400m and held her spot in photo-finish for third.

Heat 15 Maiden 950 metres (3 ¼ lengths, 2 ¼ lengths 54.3)

Belle of the Ball (3 f Savabeel - Lady Tatia) - Opie Bosson; began well to position in second, was four lengths at the 600m and quickened while closing the margin in the straight for second.
