7.05 p.m. (NZ time) R7 1 Age of Fire (4 h Fastnet Rock - Dragon's Tail) - Brad Rawiller; owned by the Te Akau 2016 Sydney Breeding No. 2 and Brendan & Jo Lindsay (Cambridge Stud), he contested the Rosehill Guineas (Gr. 1, 2000m) in March, spelled, and following a trial in July and August then transferred to Darren Weir at Warrnambool, Victoria.
Runner-up to stable-mate Embellish (Savabeel) in the 2000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m) and winner of the Levin Classic (Gr. 1, 1600m), he resumes in the $120,000 Village Stakes (Listed, 1200m), drawn barrier four.
Planned to settle where comfortable in the run, angle clear and find the line are expectations first up over a sprint trip.
The stable is pleased with what he has shown, working nicely at the beach and loving the environment, and will be happy to see his best work through the line, before stepping up in distance. Fixed odds: $41.00.
