Te Akau Counties Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has one horse entered for the seven-race programme on Monday April 14 at Pukekohe.

As on Saturday April 12 the conditions were: fine and Dead5, rail true.

2:06pm R3 7 Madame Jamai (2 f Minstrel Court - Palais Jamai) - Vinny Colgan; makes her debut from barrier six in the Maiden 2YO 1200 metres. A filly with a good action, she displayed gate speed finishing second in her first trial this time in over 800 metres at Cambridge, and again showed good professionalism when second in her most recent trial on Feb. 25 over 1000 metres at Matamata.

Her dam, Palais Jamai (Grand Lodge), won at two over 1100 metres, and sire Minstrel Court (Danehill Dancer) was impressive winning on debut as two-year-old. While difficult to assess in a field with little exposed form, she has displayed the right attributes to warrant a day at the races and will be given good education with this rider aboard.
