Te Akau Counties Preview
23 May, 2017
Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Wednesday 24 May at Pukekohe.
As on Tuesday 23 May the conditions were: fine and Slow7, rail out 5 metres. 4mls rain forecast race day.
1.07 p.m. R4 11 Stolen Love (3 f Savabeel - Steal) - Michael McNab; worked overtime without cover on Slow7 in the Maiden Fillies & Mares 1400 metres on 3 May at Matamata, after finding Heavy11 footing beyond her when resuming on 12 April in the NZB Pearl Series Maiden Fillies & Mares 1230 metres at Rotorua. Drawn barrier two in the $10,000 Maiden 3YO 1600 metres should result in an economical trip, the step up distance appears ideal, and she is certainly capable of an improved performance.
1.42 p.m. R5 16 Niamh Elizabeth (4 m Per Incanto - Trove) - Michael McNab; requires a further scratching to make the field for the $10,000 Rating 65 1200 metres. She worked hard off a wide gate when resuming in the Rating 65 1200 metres on 7 May at Wanganui, has improved with racing previously and boasts a good record going right-handed.
