Te Akau Cranbourne Thursday Preview

Te Akau Racing has two horses entered Thursday 19 September at Cranbourne (Victoria).

Cranbourne:

Weather: showers, track: Good4, rail: out 7 metres. 2mls rain forecast Wednesday and 6mls Thursday.

4:00 p.m. (NZ) ~ 2:00 p.m.(Vic) R2 12 Stage ‘n’ Screen (3 f Ace High – Inthespotlight) – Michael Dee; she last trialled in May at Waipa (Te Awamutu), when drawing to a winning advantage early in the home straight. Heading to Te Akau's Australian stable for this campaign, she debuts in the A$37,500 Maiden 1200 metres. She was very good through the trials' stage with two seconds and a win, although she has a pedigree that suggests she will appreciate more distance. However she is ideally drawn (3) to prove competitive first-up. NZ TAB fixed odds: $14.00 & $3.70.

4:30 p.m. (NZ) ~ 2:30 p.m. (Vic) R3 12 Truth Or Dare (3 g Vanbrugh – Thetruthisoutthere) – Michael Dee; travelling stablemate with the aforementioned filly, he resumed with a notable performance out of midfield for third in the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres on 24 August at Te Rapa. He finished second in a jump out (trial) on 9 September at Cranbourne, and resumes in the A$37,500 Maiden 1600 metres. He has won three of four trials, and is also aided by handy draw (4). NZ TAB fixed odds: $4.80 & $1.85.

Both horses were bought by David Ellis CNZM from the NZB Ready To Run Sale - main picture Truth Or Dare at that sale shortly after purchase.
