Te Akau Dargaville Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has two horses entered for the seven race programme on Friday 15 April at Dargaville.

As on Thursday 14 April the conditions were: overcast and Dead4, rail true. No rain forecast.

12.50 p.m. R1 5 Our Abbadean (3 f Lookin at Lucky - Highland Lights) - Danielle Johnson; sustained a big run when resuming to win a Maiden 1200 metres on Dead5 at Matamata, and steps up in grade and distance for the Rating 65 1400 metres. Encountering other race winners for the first time is never easy, but she appears ready for the task from barrier two.

3.42 p.m. R6 2 Skyscraper (4 g Manhattan Rain - Grand Performance) - Shaun McKay (a1); finished third over 1818 metres on Dead6 at New Plymouth, following a good effort in the $20,000 Rating 65 1600 metres at Hastings. He stretched clear to win over a mile on Good3 at Matamata, and barrier one is ideal for an on pace runner in the Rating 65 1800 metres.
