Te Akau Dargaville Preview
10 November, 2016
Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Friday 11 November at Dargaville.
As on Wednesday 9 November the conditions were: fine and Dead5, rail true. Heavy rain forecast after meeting.
3.40 p.m. R7 4 Rocksun (4 g Fastnet Rock - Beyond the Sunset) - Michael Coleman; produced a good fresh up second in the Rating 75 1200 metres on Slow8 at Waverley, before finishing seventh in the corresponding event against a stronger field on Dead6 at Avondale. Having recorded both wins over 1400 metres, he should appreciate stepping up in distance and ideally drawn in barrier four.
3.40 p.m. R7 5 Princess Davone (4 m Iffraaj - Nikey Davone) - Matt Cameron; resumed with a very good victory in the Rating 75 1200 metres on Dead6 at Pukekohe, and remains in the same grade to contest the Rating 75 1400 metres. Up in weight to 56kgs, after carrying 50kg when guided to victory by stable apprentice Jasmine Fawcett, she placed in five stakes races as a three-year-old and rates highly in a field of eight.
