Te Akau Derby Riders Confirmed

Te Akau Principal David Ellis has today confirmed the riding engagements for Saturday's $1 million Group 1 Vodafone New Zealand Derby at Ellerslie.
"Both Prise De Fer (Savabeel) and In A Twinkling (Fastnbet Rock) galloped up in fine fashion this morning and are ready for the Derby. Jamie and the team have done a great job with these two horses and we are looking forward to their performances.
"After today's track gallop, I can confirm that Te Akau stable rider Opie Bosson, fresh from his Group 1 Victory on Melody Belle last weekend, will ride Prise De Fer. Multiple Melbourne Cup and Cox Plate and Golden Slipper winning jockey Glen Boss will be aboard In A Twinkling.
"We are also very proud that our Derby winner Gingernuts will be honoured in leading out the Derby field. It will be an emotional moment for everyone to see Jerry return as a happy and healthy horse to the scene of one of his greatest wins."
