Te Akau Ellerslie Preview
Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing during the twilight meeting on Wednesday 7 December at Ellerslie.

As on Tuesday 6 December the conditions were: fine and Dead4, rail out 11 metres. 2mls rain forecast race day.

4.45 p.m. R1 12 Maleficent (4 m Rip Van Winkle - Fairy Tipsy) - Matt Cameron; worked through the line solidly, from beyond midfield, in the Maiden 1800 metres on Slow8 at New Plymouth, and steps up in distance to 2200 metres. Her half-brother, Mr Tipsy (Montjeu), placed in the Auckland and Sydney Cups, both over 3200 metres, as an indicator of seeing out the trip.

7.08 p.m. R5 12 Princess Davone (4 m Iffraaj - Nikey Davone) - Matt Cameron; resumed with a very good victory in the Rating 75 1200 metres on 21 October at Pukekohe, and remains in the same grade to contest the $22,500 Rating 75 1500 metres. Up in weight to 56kgs, after carrying 50kg when guided to victory by stable apprentice Jasmine Fawcett, she boasts solid stakes form as a three-year-old and appears an each way chance, in a competitive field, providing a good run in transit.
