1:50 p.m. R4 1 Dare To Proisir (3 g Proisir – Hayle Bay) – Opie Bosson; he closed well for fourth after racing handily when resuming in the Maiden 2YO & 3YO 1200 metres on 1 May at Pukekohe, and contests the $30,000 Maiden 2YO & Up 1400 metres. It was a good first-up effort off his lengthy break, and he has ability and a solid record, but requires luck from his wide draw (12). Fixed odds: $7.00 & $2.60.

3:07 p.m. R6 6 El Viento (5 g El Roca – Mandeville) – Samantha Collett; he closed with a strong finish for fourth in the fastest last 600m (35.1) in the Open Handicap 1600 metres on 2 May at Te Rapa, and contests the $45,000 Open Handicap 1600 metres. A five-time winner to 1800 metres, he is versatile on a range of footing, and brings the right form to rate a top three chance from barrier one. Fixed odds: $5.50 & $2.00.
