3.30 p.m. R3 10 Harlow (3 f Proisir - Joan's Girl) - Leith Innes; staged a last to first debut performance winning the 2YO 1200 metres, sponsored by Te Akau Racing - Three Times Karaka Million Winner, in February at Te Rapa, and spelled following the Matamata Breeders' Stakes (Gr. 2, 1200m). Given time, she looked good trialling twice in November and should go well fresh-up in the $27,500 Rating 65 1200 metres. Fixed odds: $4.60 & $1.75.
4.40 p.m. R5 10 Star of Bombay (3 f Atlante - Astardia) - Craig Grylls; looked the winner before being claimed in a fast final 600 metres (34.7) on debut over 1200 metres at Avondale. The race was won by subsequent winner and Bonecrusher Stakes (Gr. 3, 1400m) runner-up Showoroses (Showcasing), while fifth placed stable-mate Combat Queen (Pierro) won on Wednesday at Hastings. At her second start, she won the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres easing down by four lengths on 24 November at Te Rapa, and boasts the form to race well in the $27,500 Rating 65 3YO 1400 metres. Fixed odds: $4.80 & $1.80.
