- Opie Bosson; cleared traffic with a strong finish for fourth to subsequent
impressive winning stable-mate Entriviere (Tavistock) when debuting in the
Maiden 1200 metres on 23 September at Matamata, and charged home from last in
the fastest final 600m (34.7) for a close sixth in the Maiden 1400 metres on 14
October at Tauranga. She rates a top three chance in the $30,000 Maiden 1400
metres despite drawing wide (12). Fixed odds: $8.00 & $2.70.

1.50 p.m. R4 6 Mongolianconqueror (6 g Ocean Park -
Queen Rania) - Danielle
Johnson; has trialled well twice and resumes in the $40,000 Open 1400
metres. Runner-up in both the Waikato Guineas (Gr. 2, 2000m) and New Zealand
Derby (Gr. 1, 2400m), placed in three of six starts on the course, finding the
line would be encouraging before stepping in distance. Fixed odds: $16.00 & $4.00.
