Te Akau track work highlights - Friday June 27

Course proper, right-handed (Heavy):

Merrily (Misbah) and Prospero (Hercock) worked together over 1200 metres in 1:26.6, last 600m in 38.9. Both are on target for Saturday week at Te Rapa: Merrily (O'Reilly) in the 3YO 1400 metres and Prospero (High Chaparral) either the Benchmark 75 2100 metres or, depending on entries, the Taumarunui Cup (Listed, 2100m).

Two-Year-Old Grass track (Slow):

Got the Snitz (Hercock) went over 800 metres in 53.4 and the last 600m in 38. Got the Snitz (Snitzel) is preparing to race in the Maiden 2YO 1200 metres next Wednesday, July 2, at Avondale.

Promising Keeper filly Opulent (Ellis) was seen to work nicely at half pace on the sand track.
