Te Akau track work highlights - Friday 16 January -
Karaka Million candidate Windborne (Cameron) galloped with Vive La Difference (Miller) clockwise on the plough over 100m in 1:05.5 and 37.3 the final 600m.
Windborne looks on target for New Zealand's richest race on Sunday 25 January on the eve of the New Zealand National Yearling Sale at Karaka while Vive La Difference will head south to Wellington to run in the Group 3 Desert Gold Stakes for 3 year old fillies over 1600m a day earlier.
Group one performers Abidewithme (Cameron) and Rockfast (Miller) galloped on an irrigated course proper that was a dead 4 against the rail. Working over 1200m, they were timed in 1:14.9 and ran home a strong 35.4.
Abidewithme will tackle the Group 1 Thorndon Mile at Trentham on January 24 while Rockfast will contest the Listed Karaka Mile for three year olds.
Galloping 800m on a good plough:
Sequitur (Miller) and Equanimity (Cameron) worked in 53.5 and the last 600m 38.7.
