Te Akau Friday Update
David writes:

The Ready to Run Sale at New Zealand Bloodstock's Karaka complex this week has been a huge success and the Te Akau Racing team of Mark Walker, Jamie Richards and myself - and Julia-Rose - bought ten horses.

Three geldings, four fillies and three colts. They will be here at the farm for about a three week spell.

One filly that looks particularly smart this morning when we put her out into the nice green paddock was the So You Think filly out of a really good Thorn Park mare.  She looked unbelievably athletic as she was cantering around the paddock.  Shares are selling out particularly fast so if you would like to be involved I really do encourage you to contact Karyn at your earliest convenience here at the office on 07 825 4701 or email her at [email protected] .

I can also report that Gingernuts is doing extremely well and the vets simply could not be happier with his progress.  He will head out of the veterinary clinic on or about next Monday to a local spelling farm. He will have about a month there before he returns home to New Zealand to spell at Te Akau Stud.

A busy weekend with grandchildren Ted and Ella being christened tomorrow and then Karyn, Mark and I are looking forward to attending the marriage of Emily Murphy and our stable rider Opie Bosson on Monday.

We have horses racing today at New Plymouth, tomorrow at Counties and Sunday at Te Rapa.   So best of luck to all our owners that are involved in these horses and go the tangerine!!!
