Te Akau Gold Coast Preview

Te Akau has one horse entered for the seven-race programme on Thursday May 15 at the Gold Coast, Queensland.

As on Wednesday May 14 the conditions were: fine and Good3, rail out 4 metres from the 1400m to the 400m; true for the remainder.

4:25pm (6:25pm NZ time) R7 1 Precious Time (6 m Stravinsky - Ana Zeel) - Vinnie Colgan; arrived May 1 in Brisbane, and trialled very nicely over 1200 metres last Thursday at Deagon. With this rider aboard, she came from fifth on the inner and across heels into the straight let down under a hold to finish second. The time was 1:12.09, last 600m 35.5. She takes her place in the Class 4 1800 metres, from barrier three, and carries 59kgs as the highest rated horse in the field. A winner over 2200 metres as a four-year-old, she is likely to have the staying edge over some of her rivals and currently $5 second favourite in the early Sportsbet market.
