Te Akau New Zealand has one horse racing on Thursday 2 November at Gore.

3.22 p.m. R6 4 Astrid (6 m Pins - Astralita) - Shankar Muniandy; resumed on 13 October in the Rating 85 1200 metres at Timaru, where despite finishing back in the field her final 600m (33.3) was faster than the winner. Contesting the $11,000 Rating 80 1335 metres, she has beaten stronger fields in winning five races, including two from five when last campaigned. Her second up record is good and she appears a solid chance from barrier four.

Wingatui based jockey Shankar Muniandy has ridden both horses in work, and previously recorded 23 wins on the course.
