Te Akau Hastings Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has two horses entered for the ten race programme on Thursday 7 May at Hastings.

As on Wednesday 6 May the conditions were: fine and Good3, rail out 7.5 metres.

4.05 p.m. R9 7 Maestro (4 g Encosta De Lago - Miss Scarlatti) - Matt Cameron; was put under a ride when circling from the 600m for sixth in the Rating 65 1400 metres on April 2 at New Plymouth, and contests the corresponding event from barrier six. He produced a solid effort for third when resuming here last November and with a tongue tie added to his gear he is capable of an improved performance on the good ground.

4.35 p.m. R10 6 Show No Emotion (5 m Pins - Lynisky) - Matt Cameron; took good benefit from finishing fourth in a recent trial and resumes off 132-days in the Rating 75 1600 metres. She was a course/distance winner in May last year, on Dead5 footing, and although meeting a fairly strong midweek field in a fresh state she possesses the natural ability to prove competitive given an economical trip from barrier five.
