Te Akau Hastings Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has two horses entered for the eight race programme on Wednesday 3 February at Hastings.

As on Tuesday 2 February the conditions were: fine and Dead4, rail out 4 metres. There is no rain forecast.

1.48 p.m. R2 4 Bishop Rock (3 c Fastnet Rock - Festival Princess) - Matt Cameron; resumed with a solid effort for fourth over 1400 metres at New Plymouth, and with room would have finished closer over a mile at Tauranga. The form around his last two starts in strong. He is working well and looks an each way chance in the Rating 65 2000 metres.

2.23 p.m. R3 7 Latin Rose (4 m Mastercraftsman - Down View) - Matt Cameron; scored back-to-back wins here over 1400 metres in Maiden and Rating 65 grade, and appears ideally placed in the Rating 75 1400 metres. While never easy to continue a winning streak when getting through the grades, she is holding her condition well and should go boldly again.
