Te Akau Hastings Sunday Preview

Te Akau New Zealand has three horses racing on Sunday 10 November at Hastings.

1.20 p.m. R2 4 Rakuten  (3 c Savabeel - Millililli) - Michael McNab; finished fourth in his only start as a two-year-old, kept up a strong gallop without urging when trialling on 23 October at Te Teko, and resumes in the $10,000 Maiden 1200 metres. With blinkers on, he rates a top three chance from barrier three.

1.55 p.m. R3 3 Zouluminous (3 f Zoustar - Luminous Harmony) - Michael McNab; freshened after two solid trials in August, ran a strong second on 23 October at Te Teko, and debuts in the $10,000 Maiden 3YO 1300 metres. Ideally drawn (2) in a field of five, her dam, Luminous Harmony (Fastnet Rock), won four races to 1400 metres in Australia.

3.39 p.m. R6 3 Byzantine  (4 g Savabeel - Baradevi) - Michael McNab; found the line solidly for fifth in the $11,000 Rating 72 1200 metres on 25 October at Tauranga, and meets a softer line-up in the corresponding event. Capable on his day, he rates an each way chance from barrier three.
