Te Akau is Ready to Run! Join the Champion team!
The Te Akau team is indeed "READY TO RUN" next week at New Zealand Bloodstock's Karaka Ready to Run (RTR) Sale.

David Ellis and the team including Mark Walker, Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards have spent many, many hours poring over the catalogue and they have identified some true gems of two year olds who we will be buying!

This is a sale that Te Akau has experienced wonderful success from - you need only think of Flying Fulton who won 13 races in his New Zealand and Singapore career, earning his owners almost $1.4 million in prizemoney.  His glittering career also saw him crowned "Singapore Polytrack Horse of the Year"!

Last year David Ellis bought two horses from the sale who had shares available in them (other horses bought were to order).  The first was Savabeel colt Hall of Fame (below right) who cost $230,000 and who sold in under 24 hours.  He has now won three of his seven starts and placed on three other occasions.  He was a scintillating FIVE length winner of the Listed Zacinto Stakes in late October.

Costing $42,500, Iffraaj gelding Gingernuts (below left) was also hugely popular, with shares snapped up in him just as quickly.  After winning a trial, he was second on debut to stablemate and fellow RTR graduate Hall of Fame - before winning at Hawkes Bay in May.  Needing further time to grow and mature, we put him aside but he is back in the stable now and is coming to hand in a very pleasing manner.

Also - the catalogue for New Zealand Bloodstock's Ready to Run Sale of Two-Year-Olds is now available online and on the free iPad application.

The most successful sale of two-year-olds in Australasia, NZB's Ready to Run Sale has celebrated 12 Group 1 wins in the past three seasons - the only Sale of its kind to yield Group 1 success in that time.  Last season alone graduates of the Sale won the Group 1 Caulfield Cup and Group 1 Emirates Stakes during the Melbourne Spring Carnival plus the prestigious Singapore Derby and Singapore Guineas.

A consistent source of racetrack performers, graduates of the Ready to Run Sale have notched up 107 stakes wins in the past five seasons.
