Te Akau Kyneton Thursday Preview
8 October, 2026
Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Thursday 8 October at Kyneton (Victoria).
Kyneton:
Weather: fine, track: Soft7, rail: true. No rain forecast.
4:30 p.m. (NZ) - 2:30 p.m. (Vic) R1 14 Meness (3 c Ghaiyyath – Snitzel’s Moon) – Craig Williams; he has delivered two good efforts for second since resuming, most recently in the Maiden 1525 metres on 23 September at Geelong, and contests the A$35,000 Maiden 1856 metres. Placed in three of four starts, he is by four-time Group One winner and 2020 World Champion Ghaiyyath (Dubawi), from a solid stakes' winning family, and he warrants favouritism from barrier two with the top rider engaged. NZ TAB fixed odds: $1.65 & $1.10.
5:00 p.m. (NZ) - 3:00p.m. (Vic) R2 1 Gracconi (4 g Nicconi – Diamond Grace) – Lachlan Neindorf; he produced a solid performance for third in a jump out on 14 September at Cranbourne, and resumes in the A$35,000 Maiden 1454 metres. Second and fourth, respectively, from two starts to 1600 metres in his first campaign, he has displayed good attributes and this is a good opportunity to commence with solid effort but he will need a lot of luck from his tricky gate (11). NZ TAB fixed odds: $4.50 & $1.75.
